Group Life and Health Services
- Independent Medical Assessments - Conducted by our vetted roster of IME physicians and paramedical professionals across Canada. HVE has a robust roster of all medical specialities and Functional Abilities Evaluators, including those that perform physical and cognitive assessments.
- Psychological Assessments - Designed to meet the client's individual needs utilizing a return to work focus and evidence-based therapy.
- Vocational Assessments - Conducted to identify any reasonably suitable employment and training options for an individual, based on their education, transferable skills, aptitudes, interest profile, training and experience.
- Psycho-Vocational Assessments - Conducted to identify any reasonably suitable employment options for an individual based on their education, transferable skills, aptitudes and abilities, potential for upgrading or training and their personality as it relates to occupations. This assessment will also identify any potential psychological barriers to employment alternative determinations.
Psychological Treatment Services
- Psychological Treatment - Work focused therapy following an evidence-based model geared towards a return to work. Treatment is designed to meet individual needs with the goal of achieving increased work-related functional ability through identification of functional impairment, strengths, barriers and prognosis for being able to set and achieve return to work goals.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - The cognitive model of psychopathology is addressed, cognitive analysis is utilized and cognitive coping skills are enhanced, which includes goal setting and progress evaluation.
- Mindfullness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MCBT) - Uses methods from CBT in conjunction with mindfullness and mindfullness meditation strategies.
Vocational Services
- Transferable Skills Analysis (TSA) - Utilized to identify a client's existing skills and aptitudes that could transfer to alternate employment options.
- Labour Market Surveys (LMS) - Investigates employment opportunities and local trends for specific job options identified in a Transferrable Skills Analysis or Vocational/Psycho-Vocational assessment.
- Career Readiness Training/Job Search Assistance - Includes career coaching and support with resume preparation, interview skills and job search training.

Referral Process
However you prefer to start the referral process, our goal is to make it as simple as possible. Our Management Information System (MIS) is an industry standard and makes the referral process a snap. If you prefer a different method to get the ball rolling we also accept referrals via our WebPortal, SecureDocs, eClaims/IME Workflow, Sharefile and if you so desire, via hard copy delivered by bonded courier.

No Shows and Cancellations
"No shows" and cancellations have been a long-term pain point in our industry, with impacts to all stakeholders including lost time, cost and effort. We have put processes and staff in place dedicated to reduce no-shows.

HVE provides services nationally in 24 regional centres. We conduct assessments in over 500 AODA accessibility compliant locations. We maintain a centralized Contact Centre with Live Answer and After Hours Urgent Response. Our secure electronic file submission protocols via our WebFile Portal means 24/7/365 access to HVE’s Management Information System. Our infrastructure is supported by proven Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Strategies.
